The company story

Nearly seven decades,
one working tradition

BH Norton & Son began in Capel and grew through a family partnership into the limited company it is today. Each change marks a new chapter, not a break with what came before.

  1. Built from the ground up

    Brian Norton starts the business in Capel

    Working as a sole trader, Brian establishes the practical, hands-on approach that the family business continues to value.

    Steve joins his father

    BH Norton becomes a partnership. The knowledge built through years on site is carried forward as father and son work together.

    BH Norton & Son Ltd takes shape

    The partnership becomes a limited company, giving the long-established family firm the structure and name it carries today.

    Personal contact still runs through every job

    Steve remains directly involved with customers and coordinates trusted tradespeople, including second and third generation building families who have worked alongside BH Norton for many years.
